• What is the maximum weight limit for this basket?
• The standard Brompton Front Carrier Block is rated for 10kg (22 lbs). We recommend the total weight (Basket + Pet + Cargo) stays within this limit. This basket is ideal for small breeds like French Bulldogs, Shih Tzus, Pugs, or cats.
• Does the basket collapse or fold when not in use?
• The internal aluminum frame keeps the basket rigid during use. For long-term storage or travel, simply remove the frame supports and internal board to flatten the bag.
• Can my dog jump out?
• We have included two safety layers to prevent this. First, the Internal Safety Tether should always be clipped to your pet's harness. Second, the Mesh Cover can be zipped shut, fully enclosing the pet while still allowing them to see and breathe.
• Does it come with the plastic block for the bike?
• No. The basket includes the frame that clicks into the block. Your bike must already have the "Front Carrier Block" installed on the headtube (this is standard on most Bromptons, or can be bought cheaply).
• Is there padding on the bottom?
• Yes, the base is sturdy and has a liner for comfort. For older pets or long bumpy rides, some customers choose to add a small extra blanket or towel inside for extra "cushioning."
