About This
- PARTIAL MIXTURE for Hermit Crabs and Halloween Moon Crabs. Great for setting up large tanks, you will need 1 10qt bag of biobedding per .5cu ft bag of children's' play sand found at most home improvement stores
- SAFE FOR HERMIT CRABS unlike other substrates that use dangerous calcium carbonate that hardens when wet. Also does not contain salt which can burn freshly molted exoskeleton and plants.
- GROW LIVE PLANTS with your hermit crabs to replicate their natural environment and make your enclosure look pretty. Please see description for list of safe plants
- Do not use without play sand (sold separately). One 10qt bag and 1 .5cu ft bag of play sand will easily fill 20L and 29 gallon aquariums.
Overview
- Brand : Josh's Frogs
- Style : Modern
- Item Highlight : Sand Needed
- Add dechlorinated, fresh water until the substrate sticks together when squeezed, but no water runs out. Then this bag should be mixed with one 50lb (0.5 CuFt) bag of Quikcrete Play Sand before being added to the enclosure. Add mixture to the enclosure to a minimum depth of 3 times the height of your largest hermit crab.
- DO NOT COMBINE WITH HERMIT BEACH SAND
- These plants will survive in the extreme environment of a hermit crab tank, require minimal watering, and are non-toxic. We recommend washing off all soil in the pots and replacing it with the Hermit Crab Biobedding. For parlor palm and spider plants, we recommend potting them and sinking the pots in the substrate to keep the roots from disturbing molting tunnels. Cryptanthus, air plants, and bromeliads can be mounted or planted directly into the substrate.
- Substrates, feeders, other supplies, live plants, and educational resources all in one place for convenient pet ownership.
